Welcome to Las Caletas
Las Caletas is a peaceful haven on the east coast of the Island of Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands mid way between Corralejo and the Capital Town of Puerto del Rosario, within reach of some of Europe's most famous and beautiful beaches. It is set on a flat volcanic plain 15mins walk from the sea where you can enjoy a dramatic seascape.
Las Caletas is a new substantial residential complex with a mixed European Community consisting of resident owners, long term residential renters and recreational owners but for all of the community essentially Las Caletas is their home from home. This adds a crucial element to life in Las Caletes and that is to offer an open and welcoming community far and away from the hectic pace of the average complex used by holiday makers.
Las Caletas has its own mini market providing for basic daily needs and a welcoming bar called La Galeta were the community has built up a lively social centre including regular quiz, bingo and Karaoke nights, all this may seem tame but it has become a great way for all members of the community to learn each others language and to build up a rapport of togetherness. Other Social events have been pool and dart contests, Barbecues, fire work displays and celebrations at New Year and Christmas - we hope that this community spirit will continue to thrive and develop, whilst still retaining the peace and security which is the main attraction for the people who live here.
Our Vision is to have a fully integrated and welcoming community were people live, visit and make friends for life.
